Q. What are my chances of actually getting a job in private detection and security?
A. Excellent, and getting better every year. The private detective and security business is growing by leaps and bounds. The U.S. Department of Labor says over 10 million men and women are employed in protective services and the demand is increasing! Your nearest metropolitan Sunday newspaper is no doubt filled with help wanted advertisements for store detectives, undercover investigators, security guards, supervisors, etc. In addition the Global experts will assist you in every way possible to help you get and keep a job in the field. We have been doing that successfully since 1973. Lesson 1 shows you how and where to get that job, even how to open your own private detective agency!
Q. Can I work as a detective while I take the global course?
A. Definitely! Many students work part-time or even full-time as store detectives, undercover agents, bodyguards, etc. You could pay for the entire course with part of your first paycheck if you follow the simple instructions in Lesson 1. And naturally employers would much prefer to hire someone who has at least enrolled in a home study training program over another who has no training.
Q. How long will it take me to complete the global course?
A. You may finish the course as quickly or as slowly as you wish. There is no time limit. You set your own pace and study when you want. This course will be your reference library and you will be "taking" the course as long as you are employed in security. It's great reading even if you decide not to work as investigator!
Q. Do you guarantee me a job?
A. No. That is impossible. Global has no control over who is or is not hired. We do however make every effort to help you find the job you want. We offer career guidance as well as placement assistance and will supply written recommendations when asked. We also personally recommend our outstanding graduates to any agency or company who requests names of such people for possible employment in their area. Your success is our success and we don't intend to let either of us fail.

A. Any school that offers you a few printed pages without giving you audio and videotapes, or even a 3-ring notebook is simply ripping you off! Q. Do I need a license to work as a private detective?
A. No. You do not need a license to work as a private detective or security consultant in any state. In some states you may need a license but only if you operate a large agency and have other investigators working for you. Global will tell you the law in your state. But mostly Global will train you to be a good, knowledgeable detective so you can work anywhere.
